Calculate your Hip to Waist Ratio:
What does this mean?
Waist to Hip Ratio is used to determine if you are holding a higher ratio of fat in your waist compared to your hip circumference (measured around the glutes.)
Holding more fat around your waist is generally a sign of a build up of visceral fat (fat that surrounds your organs).
This may be a sign of metabolic syndrome, a collection of disorders that include high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol and insulin resistance. Together, these increase the risk of stroke, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
